Dr. Julie Canlis lives with her husband and four children in Pitlochry, Scotland. She lectures part-time at the University of St. Andrews, where she received her doctorate in Calvin and Irenaeus (2005). She holds a master's degree in spiritual theology from Regent College, Vancouver, BC.
