A couple of weeks ago we were delighted to have Dr. Bruce Ware speak at our Resurgence Conference in March 2007. We had over 400 people for this less than 24 hour conference. If you missed this conference don't miss out on our three upcoming events from Resurgence. Our Resurgence Workshop May 1st with pastor Mark Driscoll talking about Death by Ministry; Resurgence cosponsoring Emergence 2007 June 1st-2nd with Mark Driscoll, Dan Kimble, Doug Pagitt and Karen Ward conversing about the church today and all contributors of the book published by Zondervan Listening to the Beliefs of Emerging Churches; lastly September 17th-18th, 2007 we are having the Continuous Worship Conference in Seattle, WA at the Mars Hill Church Ballard Campus.
The Resurgence Conference in March 2007 was right after an Acts 29 Church Planting Network bootcamp where close to 350 church planters attended (we plan on getting some content from this bootcamp as well on Resurgence). We will be posting Dr Ware's sessions each week in our weekly Podcast and Vodcast. (This week is Session 2: Audio, Video.) To get the content click on the Podcast and Vodcast links on the left side bar of this page. Links to a PDF of the notes and audio from the Q&A sessions can be found at the bottom of each pod/vodcast. Don't miss the Q&A material as Dr. Ware presents some great practical application for all.
Finally, let me tell you why this conference was such a vital piece into what we are trying to do at Resurgence. One, we are trying to resource multiple generations and Dr. Ware did an excellent job presenting high theology for every day folks. Secondly, we also desire people to reach their cities with the gospel by staying culturally accessible and biblically faithful and Dr. Ware did just that, showing people the true character of God in relation to our broken world. It was thoughtful and encouraging material that should give us a heart for people as we live our relationship with God in time and space. May this material be of great benefit for the body of Christ.
Thank you for your efforts in bringing Dr. Bruce Ware to this conference.
It was a great time of learning for me and has been a source that I've drawn upon many times in the days since this event.
Also, looking forward to your talk at the West Seattle Campus Lecture Series in May!
